The Pennyroyal edition of Paul Mariani’s Epitaphs was set in Herman Zapf’s enduring 1948 Palatino, the same typeface that was used in the 1976 edition of Timing Devices. It was composed on a Macintosh osx in Quark Xpress 6.1 and was printed and bound at Bridgeport National Bindery in Agawam, Massachusetts in the summer and fall of 2012. At 233 pages, it measures 6 x 9 inches. The illustrations, printed from the original blocks, are printed and signed by the artist on a fold-out at the end of the book.
